Gollie Jeffries, Jr.

Mr. Gollie Jeffries, Jr., 85, transitioned on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany.

MR. GOLLIE JEFFRIES, JR. was born on August 15, 1935 to the late Mr. Gollie Jeffries, Sr. and the late Mrs. Rebecca Finley Jeffries in Holly Springs, MS. Gollie confessed a hope in Christ at an early age,  and he was a member of Calvin Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, MS.  He departed this life on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

GOLLIE entered into holy matrimony with the late Pearlie Bea Jones on January 24, 1953, and to this union 12 children were born.   Two children preceded him in death, Emma Mae Jeffries and Joyce Ann Jeffries-Bell.

GOLLIE leaves to cherish his memories, five sons: Dennis (Lorene) Jeffries of Red Banks, MS; Herbert Jeffries of Abbeville, MS; Joseph Jeffries of Holly Springs, MS; William (Katina) Jeffries of Holly Springs, MS; James Jeffries of Aurora, IL; five daughters: Catherine Waller of Memphis, TN, Bessie (Lander) Johnson of Chicago, IL; Gene Jefferies of Holly Springs, MS, Ocie (George) Jeffries-Bell of Holly Springs, MS; and Ardella Jeffries of Southaven, MS; seven sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, 32 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends to cherish his memories as well .

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11a.m., at Cottrell Memorial Gardens in Holly Springs. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4-6p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs.
