Genlorse Duncan-Martin

Genlorse Duncan- Martin, 67, transitioned on Saturday, February 26, 2022, Regional One Health, Memphis, TN.

Genlorse Duncan-Martin was born to the late Albert Duncan and Emma Lee Howell-Duncan on January 9 1955.

She accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of Pleasant Hill CME Church and later became aJehovah's Witness.

In her early years, she completed her education at Sand Flat High School in 1973, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class. Upon graduating, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Napolean Martin Jr., and to this union two children were born.

She was employed with Carrier Corporation for many years until she retired in 2016.

She departed this earthly life peacefully on February 26, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary Ethel Parker, two brothers Willie Melvin and Levan Duncan, and a special friend Fannie Jean Moore .

Genlorse is survived by two children: Erika Martin and Eric Martin, both of Mt. Pleasant, MS. Two sisters: Geraldine Duncan of Mt. Pleasant, MS and Delorise Anderson (Velma) of Memphis, TN. Eight grandchildren: Korderic Taylor, Takiya Martin, Alaina Taylor; all of Collierville, TN. Erin Martin, Aeriell Paige; both of Mt. Pleasant, MS. Samantha Rushing of Biloxi, MS. Jonterious Jones of Byhalia, MS. R'Monta Laney of Lamar, MS. Seven great-grandchildren: Keegan, Karter, Aden, Averi, Allana, Carmelo, Carleigh, and Leland. Three special friends: Joyce Ann Stephens, Deborah Moore, Hattie Kimmons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and in-laws.

Viewing will be, Saturday, March 5, 2022, 11:00 a.m., and Service to follow at 1:00 p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Holly Springs, MS.
