Fredrick D. Pegues

Fredrick D. Pegues, 61, transitioned on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Baptist East Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Mr. Fredrick Pegues was born on May 3, 1962, to the late J.C. Pegues and Riella Pegues. He attended St. Luke Church of God in Christ in Olive Branch, MS.  He was a 1983 graduate of Holly Springs High School and graduated from Northwest Community College. He was married July 4, 1987, to the late Betty Jo Lawrence Pegues and to this union five children were born.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son Deroderick Pegues of Holly Springs, MS;  four daughters: Latisha Joiner, April Pegues, and Lamiracle Pegues all of Southaven, MS, and Natoshia Pegues of Memphis, TN; two brothers: Lloyd (Catherine) Pegues of Aurora, IL and Kenneth (Mollie) Pegues of Holly Springs, MS;  one sister Cassandra (Ervin) Ellis of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren: JaCayden Hubbard, Jaslynn Hubbard both of Southaven, MS, and Nolan Pegues of Oxford, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: J.C. and Riella Pegues; wife: Betty Jo Lawrence Pegues; one brother Sylvester Pegues; and one sister Cajewel Pegues.

Visitation will be held on  Friday, June 9, 2023, 3:00 p.m.. to 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs,  MS  38635.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023,  11:00 a.am., at St. Luke Church of God in Christ, 7491 Hacks Cross Road., Olive Branch, MS  38654

Burial will take place at Cottrell Memorial Garden, 505 NW Boundary St., Holly Springs, MS  38635.
