Fredric H. Booker "Pookie", 78, of Oxford, MS, transitioned on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Oxford Health & Rehab.

Fredric H. Booker was born in Lafayette County, Oxford, MS, August 6, 1945 to Luke Booker and Ida Smith Booker. Fredric transitioned Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Oxford Health & Rehab Center, Oxford, MS. 

Fredric was educated in the Taylor School system. He was employed at the City of Oxford Waste Management Department.

He enjoyed family time, westerns, fishing and wrestling.

Fredric memories are cherished by his his sons; Anthony Murray (Sandra) of Etta, MS, Kendrick Booker and Freddie Booker both of Oxford, MS, four brothers; Milton Booker of Jackson, MS, Eddie Booker (Bridgette) of Taylor, MS, Dennis Booker of Las Vegas, NV, and Jessie Booker (Vette) of Jackson, MS, three sisters; Nina Oates of Colorado Springs, CO, Martha Williams of Tulsa, OK, and Rita Martin (Vick) of Oxford, MS, eleven grandchildren and five  great-

grandchildren, nieces, nephews,  cousins, many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Luke and Ida Booker, wife; Margaret Murray Booker, three brothers; Linzey Booker, Willie Lee Booker and Bobby Booker, one sister; Carrie McEwe

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 294 Highway 7 North. Oxford, MS  38655

Services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 12:00 Noon, at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 294 Highway 7 North, Oxford, MS  38655

Burial will take place in Yocona Cemetery, Taylor, MS.
