Franklin Delano Roosevelt Henderson was born in Chicago, IL, November 5, 1947 to Noy and Esther Henderson, who preceded him in death.

He received Christ as his savior at an early age.

Frank attended Betsy Ross Elementary School and later Inglewood High School, where he stayed until he joined the U.S. Army.  He received his GED while serving his country.

When Frank got out of the U.S. Army, he moved to Baltimore, MD, where he met and married Verona Brown, and to this union three children were born; Franklin R. Henderson, Jr., Derrick M. Henderson and Barbara N. (Angel) Henderson.  Some years later, he moved back to Chicago, IL, where he trained to be a security officer.  Frank was dedicated to his work in security; he worked 8 years in regular security and 20 plus years under the contract of A.S.A. Security.

While in Chicago, he ran into his childhood friend Linda Terrell, and soon they were married. He and Linda later moved back to Mississippi.  Frank and Linda were married for 32 years until his death.

Frank leaves to mourn: his beloved wife, Linda D. Henderson; one brother, Paul M. Henderson Jr.; five children, eldest son Franklin D. Henderson Jr. (Michelle), youngest son, Derrick M. Henderson (Milissa) and daughter Barbara N. Simmons (Kevin); Bryan E. Snell (Felecia) and Andre J. Snell; 16  grand children, Courtney, Brittney, Dehman, Frankie, Trayvon, Derrick Jr., Michala, Tyshawna, Kaine, Bryan Jr., Brianna, Zebria, Latterian, Taylin, Harmony and Timothy; Great grandchildren Elizah, Taylor and Antownze.  A very special friend Deshante Smith, a host of cousins and good friends.

 

Linda, Frank’s wife would like to give a special Thank You to Andy and Johnnie Bynum, Kevin Knox, Herman Johnson, Eric Barkley and Shenita McCalister
