Floyd "Tab" McCary Jr.

Floyd "Tab" McCary Jr., 65, transitioned on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Alliance Healthcare, in Holly Springs, MS.

Floyd “Tab” McCary Jr. was born December 12, 1956, to the late Floyd McCary Sr. and Lizzie B (Vaughn) McCary in Holly Springs MS, they both preceded him in death.

He gave his life to Christ at an early age.  He enjoyed cooking and working with his hands.  He also loved spending time with family and friends.

He departed his life on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Alliance Healthcare in Holly Springs, MS.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children; one son, Gary (Rhonda) Glover of Montgomery IL; one daughter, Lakeshia Hoey of Horn Lake, MS; two brothers Cornell (Barbara) McCary and Terry McCary both of Holly Springs, MS;  one sister Ernestine (Joshua) Maldonado of Holly Springs, MS;  three aunts Mary Lee (Joe) Turnage, Susie B. Vaughn and Morstine Vaughn all of Holly Springs, MS;  one uncle Troy “Cowboy” McCary of Holly Springs, MS;  six grandchildren: Javen, Jalen, Janeya, Montre, Gary Jr. and Samiya;  three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; one special cousin Sylvester “Leerch” Vaughn and one special friend Nicholas Graham. 

He was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents, two siblings James McCary and Jerline McCary-Mack, four aunts and four uncles.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:59 p.m., and Service will be at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis Street, Holly Springs , MS.

Burial will take place at Greenwood M.B. Church Cemetery, Lamar, MS.
