Eugene David McEwen

Mr. Eugene David McEwen, 80, transitioned on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Oxford Health & Rehabilitation, in Oxford, MS.

Eugene McEwen was born July 11, 1943 to the late Roselean McEwen.

He was employed at Booker Logging for most of his life and he was also a foster grandparent at NMRC.

He departed this life of Nov. 14, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Roselean McEwen; his wife, Perlie McEwen; and his daughter, Beverly Mack.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Roselean McEwen; his sons, Richard McEwen (Delose McEwen) and Mario Herron; his daughters, Sharon Mack, Quana Herron, Bettye Herron and Teresa Herron ; thirty-two grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, Oxford, MS.

Services will be Monday, November, 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Springfield M. B. Church, 62 County Road 106, Abbeville, MS.

Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
