Eli Jayden Leigh Hancock Byers

Lil Eli Jayden Leigh Hancock Byers, 10, of New Albany, MS, transitioned on  Wednesday, October 2, 2024

Eli Hancock Byers, beloved son of Chadk Byers and Chimera Lewis (bonus son to Sarah Byers), was born December 16, 2013. He  gained his heavenly wings on October 2, 2024. 

Eli was the light of our lives, he had a smile that could light up a room. His laugh was like hearing the angels. He is missed terribly by his family but we rest easier knowing he is no longer fighting or in pain. Eli is now healed and walking in heaven with his Daddy.

Eli is survived by his mother Chimera Lewis, bonus mother; Sarah Byers, grandfather; John Hancock, grandmother; Andrea Clifton, NaNa Martha Hancock, aunt; Tishie Jones. uncles; Cody Gullick, Zackary Alexander, Travis Alexander, Steven Lewis, Kevin Moody, Ken Moody, and Jaden Moody. He is also survived by four sisters; Athena, Lilliana, Avaani, and A'Riyah, one brother; Justin-Bo, a host of first cousins, other family members and friends. 

Eli was preceded in death by his father; Chad Byers, bonus grandmother Gerri Moody, great grand-parents, and several great aunts and uncles.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., at Fredonia Baptist Church, 1616 County Road 86, New Albany, MS  38652
