Earsie Ree Bogard

Mrs. Earsie Ree Bogard, 85, transitioned on  Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at New Albany Health and Rehab in New Albany.

MRS. EARSIE REE BOGARD was  born August 23, 1935 in  Benton County, Mississippi to the late Wade Murdock and Ceolar Hoyle Murdock.   Earsie  attended  school in  Benton  County and was a dedicated homemaker. 

EARSIE confessed her faith in Christ and was a member of the South Ashland Church of Christ. 

EARSIE  was a loving wife,  mother,  friend,  grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt.  She cherished every moment that she spent with her family.  Earsie’s life will be remembered with the lives that she touched, the lessons she taught, and the joy of her laughter and smile for all those who knew her.  She was also known for her strong spirit and witty sense of humor.

On May 18, 2021 at the age of 85, Earsie R. Bogard was called home to eternal rest with her Lord and Savior.   She is  preceded in death by her late husband,  James T. Bogard;  daughter,  Princess Doll Murdock;  parents; brothers,  Urall Murdock and Wade Murdock, Jr.; and sister, Esta J. Strickland. 

EARSIE leaves to cherish her memories with her two sons:  Novis Bogard of Dallas, TX and Steve Bogard; two daughters: Sylvia (Bennie) Claiborne of Las Vegas, NV and Carmeya Bogard of Magee, MS; sister, Verser Edgeston of Ripley, MS; brother, Vurl Murdock of Ashland, MS; and four grandchildren: Bensylton Claiborne, Francisco Claiborne, and Jaimie Claiborne of  Las Vegas, NV  and  Jasmine  Bogard of Jackson, MS;  and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in law, nieces, nephews,  cousins, friends,  and  extended family members.

Services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 12 Noon at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at St Paul Skipper Springs Church Cemetery 3945 Park Swain Rd Grand Junction, TN 38039. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 3:00-5:00p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel.
