Earnest Price

Earnest Price was born on July 31, 1951, in Oxford, MS, to the late Henry E. Price and Mae Ellen BufordPrice.

Earnest confessed his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Clear Creek M.B. Church, Oxford, MS.

Earnest was employed as a Janitor in the Oxford School System. A graduate of Central High School, in Oxford, MS; he loved watching TV, listening to music, old songs and old movies.  He loved the outdoors, mowing the lawn, landscaping, he loved beautiful things. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: his son: Eric Earnest Price of Oxford, MS; his daughter: April Blackmon (Terrell) of Olive Branch, MS; four brothers: David E. Price (Viola),  Joel Price (Emma Jean), both of Oxford, MS, Henry J. Price (Angelika)  of Oklahoma, and Myrt Price (Vernetta) of Sardis, MS; one brother-in-law: Jerry Turner; one sister-in-law: Eva Price of Oxford, MS; four grandchildren: Terrell Blackmon, Jr., Ethan Blackmon, Adrian Blackmon all of Olive Branch, MS  and Tylecia Blackmon of Georgia; a special nephew: Michael Price of Sardis, MS, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, Henry E. Price and Mae Ellen Buford Price; wife, Ester White Price; one brother, George Price: two sisters, Juanita Price Turner and Edna Price Clark (James).

Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, at Harrisonville M.B. Church, 68 CR 164 Oxford, MS 38655.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.

Burial will follow at Harrisonville M.B. Church Cemetery in Oxford, MS.

Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany, MS.
