Mr. Earl Market, 85, transitioned on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS.

MR. EARL MARKET JR.  was born April 14, 1936,  in Panola, Mississippi to Dallas Market and Willie V. Fondren,  who both preceded him in death.

MR. EARL was joined in holy matrimony to Lydia Mae Market, who preceded him in death.

During the life of MR. EARL, he worked for Lafayette County, as a mechanic for over 30 years before retiring.  After his retirement, he picked up side jobs as a security officer working for  Cobra  Security  and  then  Andy Frain Services at the  University  of  Mississippi (Ole Miss).  Many games and events, he managed the parking lots, and other places he was needed to secure.

MR. EARL was an active member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS until his health started to decline in the later part of 2019.  He was a member of the Choir.  Anything he was asked to do, he did it faithfully.

On June 11, 2021, EARL MARKET JR. departed this earth late that night at Panola Medical Center in Batesville, MS. 

MR. EARL leaves to cherish is memories three sisters:  Emma Benson, Martha Lou Market and Mary Market; five brothers: Billy Ray Market,  James Earl Market,  Lee Andrew Market,  Steve  Market, and Luther Taylor, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

Mr. EARL is preceded in death by four brothers: A.B. Brassell, Robert Lee Market, Larry Market, and Danny Joe Market;  two sisters: Gladys Mae Ellis and Pauline Market, although, no known biological children, LaRhonda Nicole Boles was raised as his daughter.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 12 Noon at Hopewell M.B. Church Cemetery in Coldwater, MS. Serenity Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 4-6p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home in Oxford.
