Joe Ann was born the second child of The Late John Henry Melson Jr and Christine Melson on May 29, 1964.  On May 6, 2024, God called his daughter home.

Joe Ann was a high school graduate class of 1983 Liberty High Bobcats, were she leaves behind many classmates she loved dearly.   She attended nursing school shortly after obtaining her certification in nursing.   Joe Ann would later on move in to the management role where she met and changed many lives with her smile and compassion for others.  She received Christ at an early age and carried him throughout her entire life.

Joe Ann later became Minister Joe Ann. She became an ordained minister under the leadership of  Pastor Lindsey Sanford at Flint Hill MB Church. She had a desire to teach the word to anyone she knew.  A regular conversation with her would usually end up coming out of the Bible.  As her ministry progressed her hunger for knowledge did.  She attended a few seminary schools until she ran across one she truly loved, ”Destiny of Hope Bible College.” Through Destiny of Hope, she was able to earn her Doctorate, She then became Rev. Dr. Joe Ann Anderson.

Joe Ann was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a anointed sister in Christ, a daughter, a second mom to some, a friend, a companion, a mentor, a teacher, a preacher, a counselor, and a Woman of God.  Her love for Christ was just as strong as it was for the LSU Tigers.  She loved her some football.  But most importantly she love them Tigers. She could light up the room with her purple and gold and the church on a Sunday morning after a win. Her smile will deeply be missed, but we all are left with a beautiful memory of Rev. Dr. JoeAnn  Anderson.

Joe Ann leaves to cherish her precious memory, her loving and devoted husband, James Anderson, Pontotoc, MS.  Her mother Christine Melson  of McComb, MS.
