Doris Barksdale

Ms. Doris Barksdale, 56, transitioned on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Holly Springs Health & Rehab. 
Doris Ann Poplar Barksdale was born September 1, 1963, to the late Floria May Poplar and Johnnie Brown.  
Doris departed her life on July 2, 2020.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and later joined Samuel Chapel Baptist Church.
She was employed at Trinity Missions Health & Rehab until her health failed.
Doris leaves to cherish her memories, five sisters: Monique Traylor, Karbicca Brown of  Michigan City, MS, Sarah Ayers, Jennifer Brown of Ashland, MS, Karachia (Willie) McKinnie of Grand Junction, TN, five brothers: Rinnix Brown of Grand Junction, TN, Kenevil (Deniece) Brown of Moscow, TN, Eland (Rosie) Reaves of Walnut, MS, Johnnie Brown Jr. and Tracy Brown of Michigan City, MS, one aunt: Ella B. Brown of Ashland, MS, one very special cousin: Terry (Brenda) Brown of Ashland, MS, a very special friend: Mrs. Patricia Lucas, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was  preceded in death by her parents: Floria May Poplar and Johnnie Brown, her grandparents: Cluster (Sarah) Poplar, Len (Lealtoe ) Brown and one brother: Wayne G. Brown.

Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11a.m. at Samuel Chapel M.B. Church Cemetery in Ashland, MS. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 4-6p.m. at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs.
