Donald Wilson

Mr. Donald Wilson, 72, transitioned on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Magnolia Regional Health Center, Corinth, MS.

Donald Wilson was born to Johnnie Louise Tables Wilson and William Thomas Wilson on October 8, 1952. He transitioned into eternal life on February 2, 2025 at the Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth, MS at the age of 72. Donald was best known as "Donnie". He was also known for his many cars. He was a factory worker for many years at Watkins Shephard Trucking Company in Myrtle, MS.

Donald accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Hickory Flat, MS. In later years he worshipped at Love Praise Tabernacle where he became an active member in the church under the leadership of Bishop Jeffie Smith and Lady Pastor Patricia Smith. Donnie enjoyed singing in church. His favorite song was "I Feel Good." He sang with so much passion, reacting out his testimony of how the Lord had saved him and healed him so many times - he will be missed doing his little dance on Sundays.

Donnie was married to his childhood sweetheart, Rosemary Taylor Wilson. 

He leaves to cherish his many memories five children; Donnie Wilson, Jr., Donna Wilson, Benita Wilson all of New Albany, MS, Donita Wilson of Birmingham, AL and Donaldvin Bell of Victoria, MS, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters: Mary (Luther) Williams of Ashland, MS, and Gloria (Perry) Jones of New Albany, MS, one brother: William Lewis Wilson of Hickory Flat, MS, one sister-in-law: Molise Penson and one brother-in-law: Clarence Judon. He is remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special dear friend and uncle-in-law; Willie Frank Harris.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Johnnie Wilson, father, William Wilson and a brother Eudell Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Love Praise Tabernacle Holiness Church, New Albany, MS  38652.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at New Birth Community Church, 614 Glade Avenue, New Albany, MS  38652.

Burial will take place at McKay Cemetery, Hickory Flat, MS.
