Today we celebrate the life of Deacon Joe Paul Anderson. He was born to the late Charlie R. and Velma Anderson on April 28, 1966 in Blue Mountain, MS. Joe was the youngest brother of nine siblings and the older brother of one, growing up in a family of eleven children. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and playing basketball.

Entering into his adult life, Joe became the proud father of two sons and one daughter. In 1999, during their marital union, with his wife Ann Anderson, Joe gained four more children. He was proud to be a husband, and father, but most thrilled about being a grandfather. Joe started working at an early age. He was hardworking and dedicated starting his career at Showood, building pool tables. Working his way to the Plant Superintendent position. Joe would later switch paths to start working at Masterbilt and remained employed there until becoming disabled.

In 2014, Joe decided to rededicate his life to Christ joining Oak Grove Baptist Church, he was baptized in November of that year. Joe would go on to become a Sunday School teacher, and a Deacon willing to do whatever he was called to do. Joe loved traveling, spending time with family and friends, and listening to music. He became well known to the community for detailing cars and his ready-to-help attitude all while encouraging others to "come to church."
