Deacon Clyde Boga, Sr. Obituary

Deacon Clyde Lee Boga, Sr., 94, transitioned on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his residence in Holly Springs.
Clyde Lee Boga, Sr. was born May 8, 1926 in Marshall County, Mississippi to the late Ben Thomas Boga, Sr., and Janie Burns.  He transitioned this earthly life to his heavenly home on Saturday,  November 14, 2020 at his residence.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Hopewell #1,  where his aunt who raised him, Ethel Johnson, had him active in several capacities.
Clyde was a graduate of Mississippi Industrial High School and a Veteran of the United States Navy.
Clyde worked at Holly Springs Brick and Tile Co. for over 50 years as machine operator and as Security Guard for Rust College for over 31 years and looked out for his coworkers, staff and students until his retirement in 2011.
He was always a member of Hopewell #1 but after his retirement, he made a commitment with his family and Pastor James to return and be active within the church and he did that!  He was honored as Grandparent of the Year and Pastor James & the Deacon Board made him Honorary Deacon at Hopewell #1 MB Church in 2018.
He had a love for antique cars and often collected them and relatives & friends always brought him one on special occasions!
Clyde was united in holy matrimony to the late Effie Rucker Boga, and to this union six children were born.

Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, Effie Rucker Boga, brothers, Lenzie Boga, Ben Boga, Jr., Joe A. Relliford,  sister, Janie Reliford, and his grandson, Marquis L. Boga.
