De'Asiah Necole Berry, 22, transitioned on Thursday, July 11, 2024, a Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN

De’ Asiah Necole Berry was born on April 11th, 2002 in New Albany, MS at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County to Christopher Berry and Denise Berry.

She went to Murfreesboro School and graduated from Camp Shelby. De’ Asiah enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, whenever she walked into an environment, she was the one to lighten up the room, because of her jokes that she loved to pull. She also enjoyed doing hair and makeup and when she was not doing that you would find her sleep, which she loved to do.

De’ Asiah accepted Christ at an early at Pine Bluff M.B. Church in Myrtle, MS under the leadership of Rev. Joe Waldrop and later reunited with Christ at Tabernacle Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of Bishop Vincent Matthews.

De’ Asiah departed this life on Thursday, July 11th, 2024 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her mother; Denise Berry of Killeen, TX, her father; Christopher Berry of Memphis, TN, her siblings; Cakya Berry of Murfreesboro, TN, Chris “CJ” Berry of Atlanta, GA, Allionna Berry of New Albany, MS and Katavia Iyanda of Tupelo, MS. Her grandparents; Peggie Westmoreland of New Albany, MS and Odie (Crystal) Perry of Memphis, TN, Emma Robinson of New Albany, MS, Vetan Robinson of New Albany, MS and Billy Westmoreland of Tupelo, MS, god-parents;  Renica and Ramon King and god-sister; McKinley Copeland. She leaves her aunts and uncles; Latrena (Keiron) Johnson, Ashley (BJ) Coleman, LaShuna (Terrence) Judon, Kimberly (Chris) Wade, Lisa Perry, Pierre Perry, Vetan (Dawanda) Robinson, Fred (Candis) Berry, Lawanda (Andy) Barrett, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; Maurice (Booker) Pickens, Annie and Ollie Berry, Mary Byum and Leon Robinson, great-aunts; Mae Gray, Mavis Berry, Betty High and Carolyn Gray, great-uncles; Frank Pickens, Ollie Lee Berry, Charles Gray and Billy High, one special cousin; Tasha Berry.

Body will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. to 2:55 p.m., until Service time at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, July 19, 2024,  at New Birth Community Church, 614 Glade Avenue, New Albany, MS  38652

Burial will take place at Gerizum Cemetery,, Myrtle, MS
