David Vincent Walker

David Vincent Walker, 58, of Pontotoc, MS, transitioned on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

David V. Walker was called to be with The Lord Thursday December 4, 2025,  he transitioned at NMMC in Tupelo, MS.  David was born February 22, 1967, to the late James Walker and Annie Boyd McKinney in Pontotoc, MS.  He was a member  of College Hill C.M.E. Church of Pontotoc, where he valet cars on Sundays.  He loved the Atlanta Braves baseball team, liked to go fishing, he also enjoyed cooking out, talking, and hanging around with friends.  He was the owner of DW Trucking of Pontotoc, MS.

David leaves to cherish his memories, his lovely wife of 22 years: Adlean Walker of Pontotoc, MS; his adopted mother: Peggy Campbell of Youngstown, OH; one daughter: Lakeisha Johnson (Rickey) of Pontotoc, MS; seven grandchildren: Quinterrious Walton, DeAndre Walton, Rickey Johnson, Jr., Nicholas Taylor, Kostacia Wilson, Tatianna Walton, and Tyreanna Walton all of Pontotoc, MS; six great grandchildren: Kavion Wilson, KraSean Wilson, Ka’Riyah Wilson, Kinsley Cooperwood, Hayze Walton, and Hendryx all of Pontotoc, MS; three brothers: Frederick Boyd of Pontotoc, MS, Antwan Orr of Panama City, FL, and Edward Campbell of Youngstown, OH, one aunt: Earlene Vaughn of Pontotoc, MS; two uncles: Willie Boyd, Sr. of Pontotoc, MS and Earnest Boyd (Gayle) of Atlanta, GA; special niece: Shanteria Walker; five special friends: Joseph Hornbuckle of Youngstown, OH, Earnest Franklin, Sherman and Linda Shelton, and Delores Crump all of Pontotoc, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at College Hill C.M.E. Church 7027 Highway 6 East, Pontotoc, MS  38863.

Body will lie in state 2 hours prior to service time,

Burial will take place at College Hill Cemetery, Pontotoc, MS.
