Mr. David Alan Howell, 62, transitioned on Monday, October 2, 2023, at his residence in Hickory Flat, MS.
David Alan Howell was born on October 7, 1960, to the late Leldon Eugene Howell and the late Emily Yvonne Dunn, in Memphis, TN.
David was a Subcontractor-with Union Laborer 1441. He loved his grandson and his family; he liked to work on cars, fishing, watching Jimmy Swaggert, he was an Ole Miss Rebels, and Philadelphia Eagles fan, he liked baseball and football, he liked to dance.
He is survived by his son: Joshua Alan Holbrook of Holly Springs, MS; stepdaughter: Tish Thompson (Brad) of Gordonsville, TN; brothers: Larry Howell (Debbie) of Memphis, TN, Terry Howell of Denver, CO; sisters: Barbara Lawrence (Willie) of Hernando, MS, Brenda Hunter (Walter) of Rossville, TN; four grandchildren: Hunter Alan Holbrook, Madeline Culver, Sara Culver, and Collin Culver, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to remember him.
David was preceded in death by his parents: Leldon Eugene Howell and Emily Yvonne Dunn; brothers Billy Howell (Robin), Ricky Howell (Nettie), Michael Howell, and Jerry Lee Howell (Cindy).
Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, Valentine Road, Slayden, MS.
Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
