Mr. Darrell Edward Ayers, 55, transitioned on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Saulsbury, TN
Darrell Edward Ayers was born on January 31,1969 to the late Sadie Lee and James Thomas Ayers in Memphis, TN. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Hardaway M. B. Church.
Darrell was a High School graduate from Ashland High School in Ashland, MS. He became an employee at TCI in Ashland, MS for over 20 years.
While on his journey into manhood, he experienced love which resulted in the birth of four children. Later he married Monica Thomas Ayers until God called him home.
Darrell later joined St. James Church of God In Christ where he remained a member until his death.
Lil Ayers was a hard worker who loved his family and his community. Lil Ayers was a Lebron James, Steph Curry, and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. On most Saturdays, Lil Ayers would visit some of his favorite hideout spots: Shun/ Cynthia’s house, Tyrone’s house, Pat/Misha’s or just visiting various relatives house’s just to stop by to sit and joke or to just check on them. Lil Ayers had a humorous name for everybody. Lil Ayers loved blues and a time or two he would show off his favorite dance moves to once again brighten every ones day. Lil Ayers also had his families generational laugh that could never be duplicated. Lil Ayers last days was spent with family and those memories will forever be cherished.
Darrell was proceeded in death by his parents Sadie Lee and James Thomas Ayers; one brother Larry Ayers; two sisters, Maggie Lou Davis and Barbara Ayers.
Darrell leaves to Cherish his memories: his loving wife Monica Thomas Ayers; His three sons; Darell Ayers, Tridarell Ayers, and Darren W. Oliver-Ayers; One daughter Mersheila Hudson. 12 grandchildren. Four sisters; Lois Hamer (Lee), Annie Bennett, Betty Ayers and Cynthia Vance. Two brothers; James Ayers and Lawrence Ayers (Pearl). Six brothers in law; Cleo Hardin, Clint Hardin, Corey Hardin, Bryan Hardin, Daimen Ward, and Glenn Ward. Five Sisters in law; Crystal Hardin, Anita Hardin, Delois King, and Debra Ward. Two special nephews, Dock Davis and Tyrone Davis. He leaves a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 12 Noon, at St. James Church of God in Christ, 4170 Park Swain Rd., Grand Junction, TN 38039
Burial will take place at Samuel Chapel M.B. Church Cemetery, in Ashland, MS
