Daphne Hill

Daphne Elizabeth Hill was born February 13, 1957 in Joilet, IL to Hugh Woods and Rosemary Campbell. She transitioned from this life May 8, 2024 at Saint Francis Hospital, Memphis TN.

Daphne was a high school graduate and worked in various factories in Joliet, IL. 

She accepted Christ at an early age. Daphne enjoyed cooking, dancing, watching TV and always laughing. She was the life of the party and spending time with her grandchildren and family was always a pleasure.  

She is survived by one son; Carnel Woods, three daughters: Jamelia Wicks (Alvin), Ekenda Woods - Davis (Jermaine) and Lashawnta Hill, MS,  eleven grandchildren, eight great  grandchildren, special nieces; Ahmanda James, Nicolette Griffin, and Raya Griffin, a special nephew; Arus-lars Woods, brothers and sisters;  Earl Beavers (Pam)  Bolling Brook, IL, Linda Shivers (Jessie) of Laurel, MS, Mitchell Woods (Rosie) of LA, Jerry Woods (Ruby) of Stringer, MS, Eric Woods of CA, Anthony Woods (Jenice) of Laurel, MS,  Charamel Orsborn (Donald) and Koliance Woods both of Baldwyn, MS, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother; Rosemary Benson and father, Hugh Woods, grandparents, special friends; Wade Hill and Geraldine and Theresa.
