Danny Vance, 77, of Belden, MS, transitioned on Friday, June 13, 2024.
Danny Wayne Vance was born May 5, 1947 to the late Robert and Erma Mae Vance in Lee County, Mississippi.
On June 13, 2024, Danny peacefully departed this life at his home in Belden, MS. Danny accepted Christ at an early age. He later joined Red Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS and served faithfully as a Trustee for many years and was very supportive of the church. Danny was a man of faith and service.
Danny attended Carver School in Tupelo, MS and D.T. Cox in Pontotoc. He was employed at Purnell Pride and Sunshine Mills for many years before retirement.
He was married to Mary Helen Pinson and they were united for 53 years. Danny enjoyed watching Family Feud, Westerns, basketball and football. His favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers Danny did not mind working with his hands. He took great pride in his garden. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was affectionately called "Homes" or "Vance" by those close to him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; Mary Helen Vance, two sons; Keith (Sabrina) Vance of Tupelo, MS and Cecil Vance of Milwaukee, WI, two daughters; Shunda Vance of Tupelo, MS and Lesia Short of Irving, TX, one brother; Johnny Vance (Mae Frances) of Belden, MS, two sisters; Ruby Vance Wade of Belden, MS and Overia Vance Collier also of Belden, MS, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law; Annie Brown (Jim), Betty McGee, Cathern Hull (Joe), and one brother-in-law; Kenny (Sandra) Pinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Lizzie Vance, and a daughter; Sandra Listenbee.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgement as the noonday.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 248 Highway 15 South, Pontotoc, MS 38863
Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Red Oak Grove M.B. Church, 1215 S. Veterans Memorial Blvd., Tupelo, MS 38804
Burial will take place at Red Oak Grove Cemetery, Tupelo, MS 38804.
