Dale Dewayne Jones, 54, of Byhalia, MS, transitioned on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his residence.
Dale Dewayne Jones was born on October 19, 1969, to the late Eary Jones, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Phillips Jones, in Memphis, TN. He departed his physical walk and went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Byhalia, MS.
Dale was known by many as “Shady Grady”. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, and attended St. Paul M.B. Church in Byhalia, MS.
Dale was a graduate of White Station High School in Memphis, TN. He was employed in Construction for several years. He was kind and considerate to all. Dale loved playing with his nieces and nephews, Wresting, and watching his favorite Football Team the Dallas Cowboys.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife: Barbara Jones of Memphis, TN; one daughter: Markeisha Duncan, of Byhalia, MS; one brother: Eary Jones, Jr. of Byhalia, MS; one sister: Sherica Ann Jones Milan (Larry) of Byhalia, MS; three aunts: Dessie Honor of Holly Springs, MS, Rose Hawthorne of Chicago, IL, Ruby Seal of Wisconsin; four uncles: I.B. Smith of Holly Springs, MS, Robert W. Phillips of Lexington, MS, William B. Phillips and Frank C. Phillips, both of Memphis, TN; special brothers June Todd, Mike Alexander, DeWayne Young, Alfonzie Wilson and Ron Clark, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his loving parents Eary Jones, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Phillips Jones; and one son: DeCamryn Rankins, and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 North Memphis Street, Holly Springs, MS 38635
Services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023,11:00 a.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 North Memphis Street, Holly Springs, MS 38635.
Burial will take place in Shady Grove M.B. Church Cemetery, 5772 Hwy 309, Holly Springs, MS 38635
