Dakota Nicole Lawrence

Dakota Nicole Lawrence, 21, transitioned on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Dakota was born on May 19, 1999 in New Albany, MS, to Nicole Ingram and Nakomus Lawrence. She enjoyed listening to her music and being with her family.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her mother; Nicole Ingram and her loving father; Nakomus (Mandi) Lawrence, her sister; Chantelle Ingram of Atlanta, GA and a step-sister; Alexis Johnson of New Albany, MS, two brothers; Danortis McWilliams and Nakomus Lawrence, Jr., her grandparents; Linda (Woodrow) Marion and Fred Rogers both of New Albany, MS, and Clint (Vicki) McDaniel of Blue Mountain, MS, aunts; Nikita Ingram and Cuisandra Ingram of New Albany, MS, Tiffonie (Dietrich) Marion of Holly Springs, MS, and Emiko Gray and Enjourne Gray of Blue Mountain, MS, uncle; Hollan (Esha) Ingram of Nashville, TN, nieces; Laila Grace and Emmi, three nephews; Braylon, Trey and K.T., a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents and one nephew.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 4-7p.m., at Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in New Albany. Burial will take place at Ingomar Cemetery in Ingomar, MS. Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
