Clifford "Neal" Oneal Owens, 49, of Taylor, MS, transitioned on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Born on May 25,1975, he was the fifth out of five children. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined North Hopewell M.B. Church. He later joined Second Baptist M.B. Church, where he was a faithful and dedicated member until his transition.
Clifford Owens received his education at Lafayette County School District. Clifford Owens enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, socializing with friends, spending time with his family, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Clifford Owens departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home in Taylor, MS.
He is preceded in death by his father: Garfield Owens, Sr.; his Mother: Fronnie Market; two sisters: Mable Bell and Annette Vaughn; his grandparents: Addie and James Owens and Edgar and Evline Phillips.
Clifford leaves to cherish his memories his two brothers: Jimmie (Gracie) Owens, Garfield (Sonquanetta) Owens, Jr., both of Taylor, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Special thanks to Michael Superstar Bell, Clifford’s loving nephew who lived with him and was a great caregiver in helping his uncle with whatever he needed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Second Baptist M.B, Church, 611 Jackson Avenue E., Oxford, MS 38655.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 12:00 Noon, at Second Baptist M.B, Church, 611 Jackson Avenue E., Oxford, MS 38655.
Burial will take place at Yocona Cemetery, Taylor, MS.
Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Holly Springs, MS.
