Clara Graham Obituary

Clara Jean Parks Graham, 89, transitioned on Monday, November 14, 2022, in New Albany, MS.

As we look forward to the next generation together, lets not forget that God is our Rock - God is Our Redeemer - God is Our Most High and what we ALL need - is hope! There is no hopeless situation that we can't handle without the Lord on our side.

Scott R. Parks and Mary A. Parks were delighted to welcome their beautiful baby, Clara Jean Parks, on October 7, 1933. She grew up loving and worshipping the Lord, making him her personal Lord and Savior was the highlight of her life.

As Clara grew into her young womanhood, she had spotted a young man by the name of Joseph Walter Graham. They united and became one. The loved  each other with their whole hearts. Sis. Clara became a member of the Pine Bluff Church in Myrtle, MS. While there, she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a part of the Usher Board and the Heroines of Jericho.  For many years, she and her husband were caretakers of the church. They would go early to make sure that the church was warm and comfortable. Sis. Clara remained a member for the rest of her life.

On Monday, November 14, 2022, at the age of 89, the Lord said, "Rest from your Labor, come home, for the journey on this side has been completed, well done my good and faithful Servant."

Those who are left to celebrate her legacy are her sons: Alvin Parks (Julia Ann), Willie Joe Graham (Jolene), Edward Graham (Angela), one daughter: Juliette Foster (Orlander), step-daughter; Wanda Smith, as well as her brothers: Charles Parks (Betty), James Parks (Betty), sister: Odessa Garner (Charles). Sis. Clara has a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces who were encouraged by her daily and who were showered with unconditional love all their lives.

Sis. Clara is preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Mary Parks, her brothers: Walter Parks and Robert Parks, her husband: Joseph Walter Graham, and her son, Walter "Levi" Graham.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.  I Corinthians 15:58
