Christine Morning

For we know if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands eternal in the heavens.

Mrs. Christine Morning, 73, transitioned on Monday, October 5, 2020 at her residence in Waterford, MS. Christine Morning was born in Holly Springs, MS on December 25, 1946 to the late Will and Jettie Mae Marion Falkner. She grew up with six siblings.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined New Hope M.B. Church in Laws Hill, MS, where she was a faithful member till her health failed.

She worked at the Holiday Inn in Oxford, MS for many years. After which moving on to do what she was gifted in, cooking. She worked at the Holiday Lodge Restaurant, in Como, MS and Edlins Care in Laws Hill, MS, where she was famous for her hush puppies, till her health failed.

Christine leaves to celebrate her life, three daughters: Contina (Kjondro) James, Yvonnie Finley, and Jacqueline Morning all of Waterford, MS, two brothers: Earnes (Vanessa) Falkner, and Lester Falkner both of Chicago, IL, seven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one half brother, Roy Howell and one half sister, Mary Reyn- olds, a host of nieces, nephews, uncle’s, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Chester Lee Morning, her brothers Willie Lee, Henry, and Jessie Falkner, one sister, Maggie Pearl Buffington, and a half sister, Dorothy Mae McAdams.

​Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 11a.m. at New Hope M.B. Church Cemetery in Laws Hill. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 3-5p.m. at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs.
