Chester Lee Morning, Jr. was born October 5, 1944 to the late Geneva Harmon Wilson and Chester Lee Morning, Sr. in Como, MS. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and joined New Hope M. B. Church of Waterford, MS.
He worked for Shaw Logging for many years until his health no longer permitted. After which he began to work for George Bolden doing something he loved, (fishing). He also loved the blues and playing his harmonica.
On Saturday, September 14, 2019, Chester Morning went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 46 years, Christine Morning; two daughters, Jacquelyn Morning and Cantina James (Kjondro) both of Waterford, MS and a stepdaughter, Yvonne Finley of Waterford, MS; nine siblings: Jimmie H. Boyd and Robert D. Wilson (Brenda) both of Chicago, IL., Rose M. Coleman (Clifton) and Luther Harmon both of Waterford, MS, Geraldine Howell, Roger Harmon (Brenda), Gene Harmon, all of Laws Hill, MS, Tommy L. Boyd of Columbus, MS and Dorothy Leisure of Potts Camp, MS; seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Geneva Harmon Wilson, father Chester Lee Morning, Sr. and one brother Crawford J. Wilson.
