Mr. Charles Pomerlee, 51, transitioned on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS, in Oxford, MS.

Charles Eddie Pomerlee “Bubba” “Pretty Pom” was born August 6, 1973, in Lafayette County, MS, to Eddie Pomerlee and Virgia Jones Pomerlee. He departed this life Thursday June 5, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS, in Oxford, MS.

Charles accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Clear Creek M.B. Church in Oxford, MS.  He was employed as a mechanic for several years.

Charles was a 1991 graduate of Oxford High School.  He loved dancing, working on cars, grilling, and spending time with family. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Boston Celtics sports fan.

Charles leaves to cherish his loving memories mother: Virgia Jones Pomerlee of Oxford, MS; fiancé: Carla Luster of Oxford, MS; two sons: Reggie Lewis of Oxford, MS and Nicolas Sisk (Imani) of Frisco, TX; one daughter: Aviana Pomerlee of Oxford, MS; one stepson: Jacob Russ of Oxford, MS; two stepdaughters: Kayla Hamilton of Atlanta, GA and Alayah Johnson of Oxford, MS; five brothers: Gerry Pomerlee (Brenda), Eddie Malone (Kimberly), Jasper Burt, Ed John Burt (Ty’Kereia), and Guantrell Burt all of Oxford, MS; five sisters: Marilyn Pomerlee-Delbridge, Renee Isom (George), Artisha Pomerlee, Winafer Pomerlee all of Oxford, MS, and Jacqueline Couch of Davenport, IA; one grandson Keanu Lewis of Oxford, MS; special friend: Atterica Malone of Oxford, MS; and a host of nephews, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his father: Eddie Pomerlee; one sister: Tamaria Pomerlee.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 12 Noon to 1:55 p.m., and Services will be at 2:00 p.m., at Tallahatchie-Oxford M.B. Association Building, 20 Highway 334, Oxford, MS  38655.

Burial will take place at Oxford City Cemetery, Oxford, MS  38655.
