Charles Edward Gorman

Mr. Charles "Big G" E. Gorman, , 61, transitioned on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Regional One Medical Center, in Memphis, TN.

Charles Edward Gorman was born February 23, 1962 to the late Maggie Jean Gorman and Theodore Gorman.

He was proceded in death by both parents and grandparents, his sister Gloria Jean Gorman and brother Theodore Gorman Jr

He leaves to cherish his memories 2 brothers Kimmie Waller (Sarah Waller) of Memphis, TN, Vince Gorman (Bonnie Gorman) of Memphis, TN and his  favorite sister Lillie Mae Dortch (Cornell Dortch) of Lamar; he also has a special nephew-son Anthony Richard of Lamar, MS and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special loved ones.

Charles E. Gorman gave his life to Christ at an early age. He graduated from Sand Flat/HW Byers School and later obtained a degree in Physical Education at Rust College in Holly Springs, MS. He was very much loved among his peers and soon became a Dorm Counselor at Rust College as well.

Charles (Big G) was funny, outgoing and the life of the basketball games; he played with family and friends, very determined to prove dunking doesn't matter. It's the Score that counts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS  38635.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Concord M.B. Church, 755 Concord Road, Lamar, MS  38642.

Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
