Ms. Catherine Herron, 80, transitioned on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Catherine Herron was born February 18, 1940 to Veona McEwen and Roberta Jones McEwen in Pontotoc County.
Catherine loved cooking, canning vegetables, doing yard work, and spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter; Tilda McEwen, two granddaughters; Jaimie McEwen and Aeriall Zinn, two great-grandchildren; Kentorius Morrow and Bryce Spearman, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by both parents, three sisters; Alberta Williams, Barbara Buford, Veona Lester, two brothers; L.V. McEwen and M.C. McEwen.
Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2p.m. at Friendship M.B. Church Cemetery in Pontotoc, MS. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 22, 2020 from 4-6p.m. at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the visitation will be walk thru only limited to only 10 persons in viewing area at the same time.
