Carrie Mae Sharp, 74, of Holly Springs, MS, transitioned on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at her residence.
Carrie Mae Sharp was born on January 26, 1950 to the late Amos Powell and Ethelene Sharp Powell, in Holly Springs, MS. On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, she transitioned at her residence in Holly Springs, MS.
Carrie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Powell Chapel M.B. Church in Holly Springs, MS. She loved watching television, cooking, gardening, playing cards, and being around her family.
Carrie leaves to cherish her memories: three brothers: Leon Powell of Memphis, TN, Willie Powell of Holly Springs, MS, and Issac Powell (Rosie) of North Carolina; one sister: Jerlean Holt of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren: Latoya Pryor, Latasha Davis and Roy Davis all of Byhalia, MS, one great grandchild: Jeremiah Lark of Byhalia, MS; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Carrie was preceded in death by her loving parents: Amos Powell and Ethelene Sharp Powell; one daughter: Sharon Powell Davis; and five brothers: Casey Powell, Charles Powell, Amos Powell, James Powell, and Roy Powell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635
Services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635
Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Gardens, 505 NW Boundary St., Holly Springs, MS 38635
