Ms. Carol Wilson, 63, transitioned on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at North Mississippi Regional Center, in Oxford, MS.
A TIME TO LIVE
Carol Denese Wilson was born to the late Elijah and Arlilla Adams Wilson in Clarksdale, Mississippi on January 23, 1959.
A TIME TO BE BORN
Carol's developmental and intellectual disabilities didn't stop her from enjoying life and inspiring others. She was a longtime resident at North Mississippi Regional Center for 48 years. Although she couldn't walk or talk and had difficulty doing things that others took for granted, there were things she could do. She smiled and people couldn't help but smile in return; she laughed and everyone around laughed with her; and she loved unconditionally because she never met a stranger. Carol was known as the "official greeter" at NMRC.
A TIME TO MOURN
She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Obra Ford of St. Louis, MO and Benita (Roger) DeSuza of Orlando, Florida; four aunts, Ada Adams of Beloit, Wisconsin; Medora Wiley, Dorothy (Sidney) Wright, Susie (Clarence) Cocroft, all of Clarksdale, Mississippi; three uncles, John (Selma) Adams of Beloit, Wisconsin; Matthew (Ida Pearl) Adams of Etta, MS, and Jimmie (Mary) Wilson of Southaven, MS; a nephew, Theon Ford and a niece, NaTasha Ford St. Louis, MO, and a host of cousins & friends.
