Billy Baldon Obituary

Billy Ray Baldon, 73, of New Albany, MS, transitioned on Tuesday, November 24, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, New Albany, MS.

Mr. Billy Ray Baldon 73 transitioned his earthly home to meet the Lord to await his final destination on November 25, 2025, with his daughters Kela & Marvie, granddaughter Destiny, Brother Benny & two nieces Tonya & Quanda by his side.

Billy was born November 1, 1952, with his twin brother Benny Baldon in New Albany, to Mr. Daniel Cartee Baldon and Minnie Viola Baldon. He received his education at B. F. Ford in union County. He and his twin moved to Niagara Falls, New York for a short while. He returned to MS to live until his passing.

Billy was married in union to Mildred Sanders and to that union a daughter was born. Years later Billy was united in marriage to Malon Graham and from that union three children were born.

Billy affectionately known as “Daddy”, “Pops”, “Pawpaw”, and “Twin” by his children, grandchildren, family, and friends was a man whose presence brought light, and joy into every room he entered. He was a man defined by his humor, his heart, his happiness, his faith, and his strength. His presence brought comfort, and laughter to everyone blessed to know him. His family was his everything, and his twin was his second heartbeat.

He was a teacher of life’s simple lessons… from driving to ironing, to the importance of a relationship with God and having faith, to the power of DREAMING BIG and living life Happy and Free on your own terms. He believed in hard work and didn’t stop working ‘til the day he left this earth.

He was a healer of sadness, a true comedian and straight shooter, a teacher of joy, and a dedicated friend. Whether He was teaching his grands to drive, pick up cans, take out trash, cut the yard, wash a car, or his favorite (scratch off lottery tickets lol) … everything he did, he did with heart.

Billy loved women, his beer, playing the lottery, his word puzzles, walking quietly in nature, reading his Bible, working, and watching movies with his grand babies!

He had a unique God-given way of knowing when something wasn’t right. His words: “It’s gon’ get greater later” and “Don’t worry, be happy” were more than sayings; they were the soundtrack of his life. He will truly be MISSED by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Daniel Cartee Baldon and Minnie Viola Baldon, siblings Cartee Baldon Jr., James Baldon, Opaline Baldon, Hazel-Ruth Baldon, Brooksie, Martha Baldon, Bobby Baldon, and two daughters Tina Smith and Nina Ezell.

He leaves to celebrate his life: his twin brother Benny Baldon (Ann). His “Forever Queen & best friend” Malon Graham, his children Sherry Lesure,of Holly Springs, MS, Kalonda Baldon(Tim Hill)of Peoria, Il, Regi Boles, Tabitha Barry, Billy R. Barry, Shawn Finley, and Nicole Ingram all of New Albany, MS. LaKelar Graham, Marvie Graham, and Billy Baldon (Renita)  all of Southaven, MS. and one honorary son; William Freeman (Amy) of AR, a host of grandchildren, nieces (four special, Quanda, Tonya, Cynthia, Veronica), nephews (Pat, Pimp, Dunnell, Greg) and friends.
