Bessie Lee Faulkner, 90, of Memphis, TN formerly of Holly Springs, MS, transitioned on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN.
Bessie Lee Faulkner was born to the late Sidney Faulkner and the late Cora Booker Faulkner, in Holly Springs, MS, on March 8, 1934. She transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home on Monday, January 27, 2025.
Bessie accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Hopewell No. 1 M.B. Church in Holly Springs, MS. She loved sewing, reading, watching national geographic, the weather channel, CNN and flower gardening; her favorite colors were red and black polka dot. She was employed at the Care Inn of Holly Springs, MS, for many years.
She was joined in eternity by her parents; Sidney Faulkner and Cora Booker Faulkner, three brothers; Fred Faulkner, Curtis Faulkner and Eldredge Faulkner; one sister: Mable Brooks.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four sisters: Lura B. Faulkner of Memphis, TN, Easter Stewart, of Winchester, KY, Vorice Faulkner and Katie Brooks (Chester) of Memphis, TN; nieces: Kimberly Faulkner and Michele Faulkner; nephews: Howard D. Williams and Kevin Brooks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.
Burial will take place at Cottrell Memorial Gardens, 450 NW Boundary St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.
