Annie Jean Smith was born July 29, 1954 in Louisville, MS to the late Lee Bro. Smith and the late Verlean Ragland. She departed this life on January 7, 2025 at the North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Reaves Street Church of God. She was employed at Irwin B. Schwabe until their closing.
She is lovingly remembered by her three sons; Reggie Smith, Micheal Smith and Chico Smith all of New Albany, MS, four brothers; James Dean, Richard Smith and Lee Smith (Georgia) of New Albany, MS, Jerry Dean (Jean) of Huntsville, AL, two sisters; Ruby Godwin (George) and Joyce White of New Albany, MS, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends along with her best friend; TJ Isom,
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son; Salvortie Smith, two brothers; Joe Lewis Edwards and Earl Dean, one sister; Yvonne Starks.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS 38652.
