Annette Louise Vaughn

Ms. Annette Louise Vaughn, 59, transitioned on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at her residence in Taylor, MS.

Annette Louise Vaughn was born on February 29, 1964, in Taylor, MS to Fronnie Phillips-Market and the Late Garfield Owens Sr. She was the third oldest out of five children. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and she  later joined North Hopewell M.B Church. She then joined Second Baptist Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a faithful and dedicated member of until her transition.

Annette Vaughn received her education at Lafayette School District. She  worked  at Wayne Johnson Daycare and Starbright Cleaners; she was  also a caretaker. She had a true love of clothing, fashion, and making jewelry.

Annette Vaughn departed this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at her home in Taylor, MS. She was preceded in death by her father Garfield  Owens Sr., sister Mable Owens Bell, and grandparents Addie and James Owens and Edgar and Evline Phillips.

Annette Vaughn leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her mother Fronnie Phillips-Market of Taylor, MS; three brothers: Jimmie  Owens (Gracie), Garfield Owens Jr. (Sonquanetta), and Clifford Owens all of Taylor, MS; special friend Louis Simmons and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.,  at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 294 Highway 7 North, Oxford, MS 38655.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, 2:00 p.m., Second Baptist Church, 611 East Jackson Street, Oxford, MS 38655.

Burial will take place at Yocona Cemetery, Taylor, MS.
