Mrs. Ann Lue Anderson, 63, of New Albany, MS, transitioned on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, New Albany, MS

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a  building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.   2 Corinthians 5:1

Ann Lue Anderson, 63, passed away December 16, 2024 at Baptist  Mem- orial Hospital, New Albany, MS. She was born October 7, 1961 to the late Lucille Jones.

She accepted Christ at an young age and went on to join Oak Grove M.B. Church to where she was a faithful member. Ann served as the president of the Sisterhood, a member of the Kitchen Committee, Choir,  Deaconess and Usher Board. In addition to her roles in church, she enjoyed traveling, cooking, decorating, and helping others. she drove for  Medicaid for many years until she became employed by Pilot, where she remained until her health declined. 

Ann was very special and loved by so many people for her sweet spirit. She was a beacon to all she came in contact with. To know her was to love her. Her most cherished moments were when she spent time with family and friends.

She was united in matrimony to the late Deacon Joe Paul Anderson. Their union created a family of seven children to which she loved endlessly.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories seven children; Troy (Kayla) Jones, Jason (Kelly) Sanders, and Crystal Sanders all of Pontotoc, MS, Christy (Raynon) Sanders, of New Albany, MS, Reginald (Shaunetta) Hoyle of Ecru, MS, Anna (Derek) Hoyle of Hattiesburg, MS, Jermaine (Shanna) Doss of Tupelo, MS, brother- in-law;  Sammie (Channon) Williams and sisters-in-law: Mary Ezell, Myra (Walter) Shields, Inez (Cherelle) German and Maria (Charles) Dixon, three dearest friends; Alecia P. Peggen, Margarett K.Peters, Ruby F. Watkins, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband;  Deacon Joe P. Anderson, mother, Lucille Jones, grandmother, Martha A.  High Pegues, mother-

in-law; Velma Anderson, granddaughter; Makyla Whitlock, aunt; Mary Evans sister-in-law; Janie Ray, four brothers-in-law; James Williams, Amos Williams, Willie B. Williams, and LC Williams.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., a Serenity Funeral Home chapel, 722 Coulter Drive, New Albany, MS  38652

Services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Oak Grove M.B. Church, 1356 County road 121,  New Albany, MS  38652

Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, New Albany, MS
