Albert Louis Young

Albert Louis Young, 67, transitioned on September 11, 2021.

Albert L. Young was born December 7, 1953 in Cotton Plant, MS to L.D. Young and Annie Bell McAlister Young. He departed this life September 11, 2021. He professed a hope in Christ seven years ago.

While he was living in Memphis, TN, he worked for MS. Imogean Erb for many years. He did a multitude of jobs serving as a Chauffeur, training horses to play Polo, and also he enjoyed playing Santa Claus for her grandchildren every year. He also worked for the New Albany City School system. Albert enjoyed fishing and helping others. He was a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by one brother: Vincent Young, two sisters: Mattie Bell McKinzie of New Albany  and Shirley Barker of W;. also, Steavan Lesure, who he took under his wing  as a teenager and raised him to become a man, god-children: Greg Young and Jeramiah Young both of New Albany,  and a close friend: Mr. Pegues "Pig" of Tennessee, a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews,  other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; L.D.  and Annie Bell Young,  grandparents: Jim and Mattie Young, James and Jenny Bell Cook, and Charley McAlister, brothers: William McAlister, Hubert Young and Jimmy Young, his friend and companion: Patricia "Trish" McKinney.
 

Service will be Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home Chapel

Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.at  Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel
