Vandallen Deveil Vance “Gus”, son of Leroy Harris, Jr. and the late Theodia Vance was born November 23, 1973 in New Albany, MS.
He accepted Christ at and was baptized at Reid’s Gift Missionary Baptist Church in Potts Camp, MS, at an early age and remained a member until his death. On May 10, 2019 he heard the call of the Lord and transitioned from this life into eternal life.
Gus worked for Goolsby Trucking of New Albany, MS a career in which he loved dearly, he enjoyed his favorite drinks Dr. Pepper and coffee. He also loved peaceful walks and watching his favorite NFL team the New England Patriots.
Gus leaves to cherish his loving memories; his father Leroy Harris, Jr. of New Albany, MS, one son Thaylond “Tay” Vance of Blue Springs, MS, one daughter Sara Gracie Pierce of Hickory Flat, MS, two brothers; Reggie Holden (Regina) of Virginia Beach, VA and Johnny O’Neal Griffin (Shannon) of Lexington, MS, four sisters; Pauline Carter, Dorothy “Dot” Tate, Norma “Beanie” Tate, Jennifer Vance Snow (Silas) all of New Albany, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
