Mr. Savaniel Moore, Sr. was born July 4, 1924 to the late Cain and Winnie Watson-Moore in Red Banks Mississippi. He transitioned Friday, June 14, 2019 at his home in Red Banks.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Newell MB Church in Red Banks, MS. Savaniel served as a faithful member, until his health failed.
He was veteran of the U.S. Army, and a board member of the Mississippi Delta Council for Farm Workers for 45 years. Savaniel was employed as a farmer.
Savaniel was united in holy matrimony for 56-years to the late Mrs. Brunetta Robinson-Moore. To this union eight children were born. Two sons preceded him in death Savaniel Moore, Jr. and Sylvester Moore.
To cherish his memories, Savaniel leaves six daughters, Gwendolyn Moore of Holly Springs, MS; Pattie Raimey of Red Banks, MS; Terrie Moore, Memphis, TN; Anna Elmore of Chicago, IL; Elizabeth King of Holly Springs, MS and Mary Munn of Memphis, TN. Four sons Sidney (Jeanette) Moore of Portland, OR; David (Georgia) Moore, Ronald (Pamela) Moore, Thomas (LuBertha) Moore of Memphis, TN; one step-son Othello (Mary) Robinson of Holly Springs, MS; one grandson he reared as his son Steven Moore of Red Banks, MS; two great-grandchildren he reared Demontre Moore of Red Banks and Pvt. 1st Class Terrence Aldridge of Camp Casey in Dongducheon, South Korea; one sister Celestine Moore of Chicago, IL; four sisters-in-law Terry King-Moore, Elizabeth Culberson, Shelby Mohammed, Vannette Robinson-Mohammed; two brothers-in-law James Robinson and Charles Robinson; 38 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; a special cousin Louis Evelyn Jefferson; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
