Rickey Norris Johnson was born April 19, 1960 in Lamar, Mississippi to the late Rubye Bean and the late Frank Johnson.

He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Lamar, MS

He departed this earthly life on Friday, July 12, 2019, at his home in Holly Springs, MS.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his longtime companion, Carrie Sharp; one son, DeQuentis Scruggs of Corinth, MS; four grandchildren, LaToya Pryor (Lakeydrick) of Byhalia, MS, Latasha Davis of Holly Springs, MS, Roy Darrel Davis of Memphis, TN, and Zachariah Scruggs of Corinth, MS; three sisters, Casynette Hoyle (Raymond) of Ashland, MS, Debra Ann Crane (James) of Holly Springs, MS and Jennifer Brown of Lamar, MS; six brothers, Freddie B. Johnson, Ellis Lewis Johnson and Dwight Johnson, all of Holly Springs, MS, Frank Johnson of Memphis, TN, Sylvester Mark Johnson (Ruthie) of Chulahoma, MS and Trence Johnson of Ashland, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a grandson, Quency Scruggs, a bonus daughter Sharon Powell Davis and a brother, Casey Powell.
