Ms. Tonya Muzette Johnson

HOLLY SPRINGS- Ms. Tonya Muzette Johnson, 47, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at her home in Holly Springs.

A Journey through Time

Tonya Muzette Johnson was born on October 13, 1971 at the Marshall County Hospital to the parents of Charles Robinson and Seraphine Johnson of Holly Springs, Mississippi. She confessed her belief as a Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Asbury United Methodist Church in Holly Springs, Mississippi where she grew in the Lord. Tonya gained her heavenly wings to go home to be at rest on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at her residence in Holly Springs, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her mother, Seraphine Johnson Mitchell, and grandmothers, Jessie Pearl Pratt-Johnson (maternal) and Essie Miller (paternal).

A Proven Angel in Service and the Community

Tonya received her early education matriculating through the Holly Springs School District.  Upon receiving her high school diploma in May of 1989. Tonya began her higher educational journey by attending Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi.  She worked at Fred’s Discount Store for several years, taking a pause to serve as the primary caregiver of her devoted mother until her untimely death in 1997.  Tonya returned to work at Fred’s Discount Store until January of 2019.  She is well remembered in the community by her affectionate smile and kindness toward others.

The Legacy Lives on

Tonya will affectionately be remembered by father, Charles Robinson of Nashville, Tennessee; her daughters: Brittany S. Aldridge and Charlesa A. (Ron) Jones; son: Olandrique Elliott all three of Holly Springs, Mississippi; brothers: William T. (Monica) Johnson of Southaven, Mississippi and Darrell (Shallanda) Clay of Tupelo, Mississippi; grandchildren: Jariyah S. Aldridge and KaidynHampton;   nieces: Kailynn G. Johnson and Micahya S. Johnson and a nephew: Dillon Johnson all of Southaven, Mississippi; an aunt, Jeanette Crane, an uncle, Larry (Callie) Johnson, a host of cousins, a loving family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2p.m. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
