Douglasville, GA formerly of Lamar, MS- Mrs. Deedra Latrice Lee-Lucas, 30, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. She was born May 9, 1988 in Memphis, TN to Teresa Pye-Walker and Judge Lee. She later married Jeremy F. Luas on July 27, 2012. Deedra accepted Christ at an early age becoming a member of Concord M.B. Church. She graduated from H. W. Byers High School where she was a cheerleader. Upon graduating high school, Deedra attended Northeast, Northwest, and Southwest Community Colleges’. She attended Rust College as well. She graduated from Concorde Career College as a Respiratory Therapist. She was currently attending DeVry University for Hospital Administration. Overtime, she pursued one of her favorite hobbies becoming a Licensed Make-Up Artist. Until her health completely failed her, she currently was a Respiratory Therapist for the Shepherd Center of Atlanta, GA.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 12:30p.m. at Concord M.B. Church in Slayden, MS with Pastor Clyde W. Williams delivering the eulogy. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
Deedra leaves to cherish her memory of her husband, Jeremy F. Lucas; two sons: Collin Parker and Aadin Lucas; her mom, Teresa Pye-Walker; her dad, Judge(Odessa) Lee; six sisters: Dionna Walker, Dana Walker, Tina(Robert) Franklin, Belinda Burks, Jackie(Ramone) Hopson, Christy(Robert) Pruitt; her grandfather, Harold Pye; three special aunts: Darlene(Robert) Cunningham, Katrina Brooks, and Priscilla Pye; a special uncle, Paul(Krystal) Pye; two special nieces: Kristian-Faith Mosley and Tiffany Roberts; a special nephew, Julian Kang; a special friend of eighteen years, Elvis Shaw; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and caregivers whom loved and will miss her dearly.
Preceding Deedra in death is her grandmother, Geneva Henderson-Pye; her uncle, Gregory D. Pye Sr.; and her sister, Michele Lee.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 3-7p.m. at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs.
