Mr. Thomas Byrd

HOLLY SPRINGS- Mr. Thomas Byrd, 76, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at his home in Holly Springs. He passed through the pearly gates of heaven. God gained one hell of a soldier that day. Son Born of Lottie and Samuel Byrd in a small town of Marshall County, August 18, 1942, Thomas William Byrd began his journey through life.  Thomas was one of ten kids. Seven brothers and two sisters. (Warner, Louis, Dimp, John, James, Connie, and Virginia) Survived by Charles & Larry. His work began in an old run down rustic barn he made into a cabinet shop. He would work until he couldn’t any longer and when you told him he needed to rest, He always responded " oh hell naw If I don’t do it who will? " As you can see, Thomas was a very hard working man.

He finally ended up finishing his work and retiring where he spent the rest of the time driving us nuts lol.

Thomas's first wife was Ruby and had his Daughter Retta. Later on Married second wife Martha with two sons Jeff and Wayne and grandchildren Rick, Aaron, Shelby and her children ( Mckynlee and Mason ) His Sole Grandchildren Cody, Tabitha, Cassie, and Lottie  Sanderson. And then there is two who he loved over everyone, his great-great grandchildren Ryder Sanderson, Chloe Blackburn

Services will be on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 2p.m. at Clear Creek Baptist Church on 1704 Clear Creek Road in Lamar, MS. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the church starting at 6p.m.
