Mr. Joseph Louis "Big Joe" Black

LOS ANGELES, CA- Mr. Jospeh Louis "Big Joe" Black, 82, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home in Los Angeles, CA. He was born on April 19, 1936 in Charleston, MS to the late Mr. James L. Black and Ms. Jimmie L. Mckinley. 

Services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11a.m. at Mallalieu United Methodist Church on 601 Delmar St in Ruleville, MS. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Church Cemetery in Tillatoba, MS. Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of the arrangements.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories one son: Joe F. Black of St. Paul, MN. One daughter: Jada Black of Long Beach, CA. Two brothers: James C. Black and William Black both of Ruleville, MS. Four sisters: Barbara Johnson Smith of Los Angeles, CA, Nina Black of St. Paul, MN, Faye Black and Patricia Black both of Ruleville, MS. Six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
