Mr. Elbert Owens, Sr.,

MILWAUKEE, WI- Mr. Elbert Owens, Sr., 84, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Wheaton Franciscan Health Alliance in St. Joseph, WI. He was born on February 4, 1934 in Lafayette County to the late Will and Maggie Owens.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 2-4p.m. at Serenity-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Burial will take place at Flint Hill Church Cemetery in Etta, MS. Serenity-Martin Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife of 60 years: Mrs. Betty Owens. Three daughters: Veronica A. and Jeanette Owens of Milwaukee, WI and Beverly C. (George) Hilliard of Calumet City, IL. One son: Elbert Owens, Jr., of Milwaukee. Four sisters: Maudie Cheatham of Memphis, TN, Autry Marzette, Mary Buchanan and Ocie Grady both of Beloit, WI. Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
