Marquis “Steele” Lettrell Boga
Marquis Lettrell Boga was born on June 1, 1995 in New Albany, MS. to Tamela Boga.
He professed his faith in Christ Jesus at an early age at Hopewell # 1 M.B. Church, where his grandmother, Effie Boga, brought him every Sunday. He was an active member in his youth and a long-time member of Hopewell # 1 in Holly Springs.
Marquis was loved by his family and so many people! He was friendly to all and was so ‘happy-go-lucky’. His desire was to make all he came in contact with laugh and just dance, dance, dance! His favorite colors were red and black, and he loved to wear them. Marquis was disabled, but he helped the family in looking out for his grandfather.
Marquis departed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at approximately 7: 15p.m, at the Marshall/Benton County line, in a tragic accident that will leave his family and friends permanently scarred for life.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother whom he loved dearly, Effie Boga, and his uncle, Clyde Boga Jr.
He leaves to cherish very special memories: his mother, Tamela Boga, brother, Montre’ Boga, grandfather, Clyde Boga Sr., all of Holly Springs, MS.; Six aunts, Annie Boga Bevil of Chicago, IL, Annette (Frazier) Boga Davis of Lawrenceville, GA., Patricia Boga, Donna Boga, Elizabeth (Tony) Wilkins, Katrina (Ricky) Raimey, all of Holly Springs, MS.; one uncle, Terry (Pam) Boga of Potts Camp, MS.; a great-aunt, Deloris White of Tupelo, MS., a great-uncle, Eddie Rucker of Memphis, TN., a special Godfather, William Jones of Holly Springs, MS., a good friend, Kiara Jackson of Holly Springs, MS., and a host of loving cousins, other relatives and many friends.
