Deacon Marvin Jerome Richmond

Mr. Marvin Jerome Richmond was born August 29, 1959 in Marshall County, MS to the late Roger Richmond and the late Anna Hall Alexander-Richmond. Both parents Roger and Anna Richmond and sister Sabrina Richmond preceded Marvin in death.

Marvin, a faithful member of Smith Grove M. B. Church, served diligently as a Deacon and doing whatever he could put his to do to build up the work of the Lord.  His desire was to stay here and serve but God offered him a better way and a higher position.  After fighting a good and securing his flight, Marvin departed the mortal body on June 4, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis, TN at approximately 5:36 a.m. he took his immortal position with God.

His loving memories will be cherished by his wife and caregiver of 17 years, Pastor Wanda Richmond, one daughter Anita Richmond and three children inherited through marriage: Keith Dawkins, Tomea Robinson, and Kenny Dawkins, one brother Elliott Jones, seven grandchildren: Kiana Dawkins, Mar’Twan Robinson, Amari Dawkins, Kyon Scruggs, Terrell Richmond, Isaiah Richmond, and Cannen Rowsey. Marvin will be greatly missed by aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, friends, and especially his church family.
