Arthur Walter Cathey Sr.

Mr. Arthur Walter Cathey, Sr. was born October 26, 1943 to the late Mrs. Gertrude Cathey and Mr. C.Q. Cathey.

He loved working with electronics and creating his own electrical devices. He would talk to you for hours about electronics and how they work.

He worked hard and spent most of his work years at Sears in Oxford, MS.

Arthur departed this life on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Batesville, MS.

Arthur was preceded in death by his father, C.Q. Cathey, mother; Gertrude Young Cathey.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving and devoted children; Nicole (Greg) Hutson and Sirena Morgan both of Oxford, MS, two sons; Arthur (Marylin) Walter Cathey, Jr., of Tunica, MS, and Arthur Walter Cathey of Jackson, MS, One brother; Arthur (Doris) David Cathey, Sr., of Oxford, MS, one sister; Catherine Young of Arlington, VA, seven grandchildren; Shanika Cathey, Dominique Cathey, Santerica Price, Surruaku Cathey, Kwanzaa Cathey, Spencer Morgan, Jr., Julius Morgan, two great grandchildren, Christian and Kayden McGee, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
